Aqeel Mohammed is a graduate from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the University of the West Indies where his key focus was on FPGA systems with a final year project developing a “Gunshot Detection System for the Ministry of National Security”. This chef turned engineer attempts to embody the term “jack of all trades” having worked in a variety of fields from farming, robotics, education and Photovoltaic Engineering. Currently he is pursuing a masters in Data Science and NABCEP PV engineering certifications. His immediate goal is to break into the data science and renewable energy industries, establishing a renewable energy company built by wiremen he previously trained. His overarching goal however is to leverage a diverse portfolio of technical knowledge to better serve Trinidad and Tobago in tandem with TTLAB.
