Sara is the CEO and co-founder of Smart Kids Educational Club, which has introduced over 2000 students to STEM and Coding. She was ranked among the top 50 Caribbean Women in Tech 2021 by Silicon Caribe. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur Sara spent 15 years in the LNG Industry as a Process Engineer. Over the years she gained extensive experience in Risk Management, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, Commissioning & Start-up and project management. She spent the latter 5 years as Team Lead, responsible for Process Hazard Analyses and design work on projects such as Safe Operating Limits, Obsolete PSV replacement and Overpressure Protection. In addition to being passionate about providing opportunities for kids and teens to learn digital skills, Sara loves bringing meaning to data and working on meaningful projects. She is currently completing a Data Science Bootcamp with CodeOp and will graduate in April 2022. She is particularly interested in working on Machine Learning projects.
