Letetia completed her Doctorate in Mathematics at the University of the West Indies (UWI), in which she investigated the dynamics of prey-predator and epidemic models, applied to investments. Previously, she studied approximations of functions using statistical ideas, which formed the basis of her M.Phil. Statistics. Her passion for both Mathematics and Statistics led her to produce various publications in both fields. She has over ten years’ experience lecturing a variety of tertiary level courses in Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, and also served as coordinator of the Mathematics Help Centre at the UWI. Letetia is involved in various Statistical Consulting Projects and is currently a Project Officer at the University of the West Indies.
