Azara Mohammed is a rising sophomore at Stony Brook University pursuing a B.S. in Data Science. As an aspiring Operations Research Analyst, she has a strong interest in developing mathematical models to analyze data, solve complex problems, and create practical, efficient solutions for real-world challenges. Outside of academics, Azara has been a pianist for over 14 years and has earned first-place awards multiple times at the Biennial Trinidad & Tobago Music Festival. She is also actively involved in the student chapter of the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematicians (SIAM) and serves as Event Committee Member on the executive board at Stony Brook. Looking ahead, she is particularly interested in applying data science within healthcare, aiming to develop innovative models that optimize systems and support more effective decision-making.
