Kirstin is a final-year student enrolled in UWI’s MSc in Data Science program. She also holds bachelor’s degrees in Physics (with a minor in Mathematics) and Optometry, both from UWI. Kirstin has practiced Optometry in both the public and private sectors. Currently, she is engaged in research that combines Optometry and Data Science, utilizing AI for glaucoma detection in a Trinidadian population. Recently, Kirstin completed a Udacity Nanodegree in AI Programming with Python, thanks to a scholarship awarded by AWS. She aspires to work in the field of Data Consulting. In her free time, Kirstin enjoys baking, singing, and playing the guitar and piano.
