Chandini Gunpat is an aspiring actuary with a strong academic background and hands-on research experience. She is currently working as an Actuarial Research Assistant at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, under the guidance of Mr. Stokeley Smart. Her work includes developing a model for predicting insurance claims, analyzing appropriate professional indemnity insurance coverage amounts for accountants, and contributing to the creation of actuarial loss of earnings tables for the Caribbean. Chandini has also played a key role in actuarial conferences, refining peer reviewed articles for publication, and pension mathematics initiatives. She holds a BSc in Actuarial Science with First Class Honors and has passed Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams SRM, FM and P and is awaiting results from her FAM sitting. A recipient of the Global Affairs Canada Scholarship (allowed for a full time academic exchange to the University of Toronto), she is committed to continuous learning and industry growth.
