Rogina Mahabir is a final-year Electrical and Computer Engineering student at the University of the West Indies, specializing in Communications Systems. Her journey into engineering was fueled by a strong passion for mathematics and physics. These subjects not only challenged her but sparked a deep fascination with how theoretical principles could be translated into real world systems. This curiosity made Electrical Engineering a natural choice, offering a perfect balance of analytical rigor and creative problem-solving. Her academic work focuses on anomaly detection and the broader application of data-driven methods in engineering. She is a recipient of a National Bursary Award and multiple private scholarships in recognition of her academic performance. Alongside her technical interests, she is deeply passionate about business, particularly the intersection of engineering, innovation, and strategy. Outside of academics, she is a creative at heart. A passionate lover of the arts and fashion, she finds freedom and expression in spaces far removed from engineering. For her, art is a language, and fashion is a form of storytelling with each offering a way to connect with the world beyond logic and structure. Driven by curiosity, creativity, and a hunger to understand systems, Rogina continues to carve out a path that is uniquely her own, where intellect meets instinct, and ambition meets authenticity.
