Kerilius Leslie is a Dominican-born strategist, technologist, and theologian whose life’s work bridges the worlds of data science, digital transformation, and faith-based leadership. Currently serving as Senior Project Manager with specific oversight on the Data Portfolio at Trinidad and Tobago’s Ministry of Public Administration and Artificial Intelligence, he oversees national-scale digital initiatives that modernize public services, integrate artificial intelligence, and unlock the value of data across government. With a dual academic foundation—a BSc in Computer Science and a BSc in Theology—Kerilius brings a rare combination of analytical precision and presentation excellence to his work. He is a PMP-certified project manager and is completing an MSc in Data Science, focusing his research on building a Collaboration-Aware Hybrid Scheduling Model for Public Sector Organizations.

Anthony Jairam is an AI Engineer and Researcher with 5+ years of experience in machine learning, computer vision, NLP, and full-stack development. A graduate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UWI, he has built and deployed production-grade ML pipelines, combining deep learning, user-centered design, and MLOps to deliver intelligent, scalable solutions with real-world impact. His work spans health-tech innovation, natural language systems, and GPU-accelerated model optimization. Outside of work, Anthony enjoys playing video games, exploring emerging tech trends, and music.

Kimberley Gillette holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and is passionate about turning data into meaningful insights. With strong expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Analysis, SQL, Python, and Power BI, she enjoys solving complex problems and building intelligent solutions. Kimberley is driven by curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning in the ever-evolving world of technology. Outside of her professional life, she values quality time with her friends and family, finding balance and inspiration in those connections.

Kavita Jattansingh is a multidisciplinary researcher with expertise in geoscience, GIS, and data-driven risk analysis. She holds a B.Sc. in Petroleum Geoscience from The University of the West Indies and an M.Sc. in Geographic Information Science from University College London and is pursuing an MSc. in Data Science at The University of the West Indies. Currently a Principal Consultant at Wipro, she brings industry experience in energy and digital transformation to her research. Her current focus at TTLAB centers on disaster risk reduction and climate adaptation finance, with an emphasis on leveraging spatial data and predictive models to inform resilient development in the Caribbean. She is also a volunteer with Trinidad and Tobago’s Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM), where she supports community engagement and hazard preparedness initiatives. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and nature exploration. Her work is driven by a passion for applying science and technology to build safer, more sustainable communities.

Jade Noreiga is a data science graduate student with a background in Actuarial Science and a drive to turn complex data into simple, impactful insights. Skilled in Python, R, Tableau, and DataRobot, she applies statistical analysis and visualization to real-world challenges — from supporting digital learning in classrooms to improving team performance on the field. With a unique blend of technical expertise and human-centered thinking, Jade is passionate about using data to drive smarter decisions and meaningful change.

Ruthven attended the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine campus and graduated in 2024 with first class honours. Ruthven pursued a double major in Mathematics and Physics. Ruthven received accolades for topping years one, two and three in Mathematics at the University of the West Indies. Ruthven is currently pursuing a Masters in Data Science and is on course to complete in 2026. While pursuing his Masters, Ruthven has obtained various Microsoft certifications such as Power Platform Fundamentals and Power BI Analyst. Apart from his studies, Ruthven enjoys middle and long distance running.

Laura is currently in the final year of pursuing her MSc. in Data Science at The University of the West Indies. Her interests lie in data analytics, machine learning and data visualization, with a strong focus on creating data-driven solutions. After obtaining her BSc. in Computer Science and Management, she was able to secure a position as a full stack developer. Her proficiency as a full stack developer complements her expertise in data analysis, allowing for a holistic approach to problem solving. Laura is driven by her professional goal of becoming a data scientist and is dedicated to applying her skills in a formal research environment to contribute to the field. Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, she enjoys playing video games and spending time with her family.

Aaliyah graduated from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine campus in 2023 with a BSc. in Physics (major) and Mathematics (major). Through her academic journey, she has acquired a versatile set of technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. In 2024, Aaliyah was a research intern at the CENCA-Bridge Remote REU, where she learnt and applied data analysis using Python to astrophysical research. This led to her strong interest in using data science to uncover patterns, solve real-world problems, and contribute to evidence-based decision-making. Her current goal is to pursue data science at a postgraduate level. Outside of research and academics, Aaliyah enjoys reading and painting.

Gabrielle Motilal is a proud young female engineer whose journey is driven by ambition, performance and heart. During her Bachelors of Science degree in Physics at the University of the West Indies, Gabrielle won multiple awards allowing her to study in Japan and conduct research at NASA in the US alongside top scientists leading to her first co-author scientific publication. Upon graduating, Gabrielle won the highly competitive full-ride Fulbright Scholarship from the US Embassy. During her Masters degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Florida, she thoughtfully engaged in novel battery research, assumed leadership roles in the Society for Women Engineers and was inducted into the prestigious Engineering Leadership Circle. Upon graduating, she enjoyed working for Tesla towards a more sustainable future. Making cells for electric vehicles, super energized her! My name is Vaishnav Jayaraj, and I’m a second-year student at McMaster University. I am pursuing a degree in electrical engineering. My interests are in electronics and electrical systems, particularly micro-electronics and hardware. I completed CSEC and CAPE in BATCE with all distinctions and regional merits in Pure and Applied Mathematics. I have done several personal projects through school and college. My most recent project was a game board designed for visually and hearing-impaired persons. This prototype entailed remodelling several game pieces and the board to be more ergonomic, as well as designing an electronic component that would output audio. This project won first place in the first-year engineering showcase. My hobbies include hiking, nature watching and playing Indian classical music.

Riyaad Mohammed is a graduate student currently pursuing a Master’s in Data Science at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same institution. With experience in backend development, database systems, and IT operations within the financial technology sector, Riyaad has contributed to systems automation, alert mechanisms, and infrastructure upgrades. His academic and professional interests include machine learning, GPU acceleration, and automation, with project work in facial and gesture recognition using C++ and CUDA. He is skilled in Python, Java, SQL, and various cloud and integration technologies. Beyond his technical pursuits, Riyaad enjoys reading, fishing, and exploring solar technology as a sustainable energy solution. He looks forward to contributing to impactful research, combining his practical experience with his passion for innovation.
