Arshad Ali, a National Scholarship recipient in Mathematics, holds a BSc. in Statistics and Economics (First Class Honours) from The University of the West Indies and is currently in his final year of the MSc. in Data Science. He serves as a Digital Transformation Analyst at the Ministry of Public Administration and Artificial Intelligence (formerly the Ministry of Digital Transformation), where he supports national digital initiatives through data analytics and strategic reporting. His work on the ICT Access Centres has led to the development of performance dashboards that inform executive decision-making by tracking visitor behaviour, centre usage patterns, and service delivery trends across the country. Arshad also contributes to Trinidad and Tobago’s Open Data initiative, leading assessments that improve data quality, digital inclusion, and transparency. He is passionate about using data to enable efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric governance while advancing digital transformation across Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean. Outside of work, Arshad enjoys the gym, cricket, and exploring topics in philosophy and personal growth.

Joshua is currently pursuing an MSc. in Statistics at the University of the West Indies, having previously earned a BSc. in Mathematics. He has contributed to research projects and published academic work in areas including machine learning, renewable energy, and data imputation. Joshua is eager to learn and apply new techniques to solve complex problems, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills. At UWI, he has supported student learning through the Mathematics Help Center, helped coordinate the UWI Math Fair, and participated in other outreach activities. Outside of academics, he enjoys ​baking, exploring nature, hiking, and playing tennis.

Patrick attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he obtained five degrees including a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He has worked at Bose Corporation, Bell Laboratories, AT&T Laboratories, Ericsson and Huawei. He has published extensively with over 200 refereed journal and conference publications. He holds 41 granted patents in the areas of telecommunications and wireless technologies. He was nominated for the Ericsson Inventor of the Year award in 2004, was the Huawei US Wireless Research Employee of the year for 2007, is a 2015 Anthony Sabga Caribbean Laureate for Science and Technology is a National Geographic Explorer and is a recipient of the Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (ORTT) award for 2024. Patrick is presently the administrative and technical contact for the TT top level domain, CEO of the TTNIC and a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering (and formerly a Professor of Computer Science) at the University of the West Indies. His present areas of research include Applied Data Science, Operations Research and Performance and Pricing Optimisation for Cellular Networks.
